A stalled calling app, rolled out
A mobile calling app for sales reps, stalled and at least two months behind.
The problem
By early 2026, Conquer Voice Plus was stuck. Calling was inconsistent, features and tracking were missing, and on Android, inbound calls didn't work at all. The phone wouldn't even ring. It wasn't ready for customer testing.
What I did
I'd written the original strategy and the RFP that found our front-end development partner before moving over to FCI, so I came back to take over product and project management. I ran daily triage with the internal and external teams and did a lot of the diagnosis myself: running test passes on iPhone and Android, and reading call logs closely enough to tell a front-end bug from a server problem, so every fix went to the right team. The team reworked the Android build from the ground up. For a major launch client, we added custom Salesforce object support in under 30 days, then shipped a UX fix in about ten days when field tests showed users couldn't tell standard objects from custom ones.
What changed
About six weeks after the Android rework started, v1.9.1 went live in the App Store and Google Play with calling working on both platforms. Internal pilot in May, client pilots in June, and a full customer rollout that summer. The launch client approved it for production in August.
